An official condolences to the people of Nigeria on the loss of two great politicians: former Speaker Ghali Umar Na’Abba and Late Governor of Ondo State Rotimi Akeredolu.
With a heavy heart I joined the rest of people of Kano to mourn the death of one of their political giants, the former Speaker of Nigerian House of Representatives under former President Olusegun Obasanjo in the person of Ex Speaker Ghali Na’Abba who passed on to the World beyond. Also to mourn with the great people of Ondo State for the great loss and the passing of their late Governor Rotimi Akeredolu.
No doubt these great politicians contributed their quota to politics, leadership and wrote their names in Nigerian history, either for good or bad but this time is not to itemize what they did right or what they did not do right, but to learn from their passing that life is vanity. We brought nothing to this world and we go with nothing. No matter the amount of wealth we tried to amass to ourselves or names; some day we will leave all behind to descend to six feet as the debt every mortal owes. So our politicians should learn from these and use every time they got left to impact lives of the citizens of their community, local govt, state or the nation for the services they are elected for and not for their own self aggrandizement.
May the soul of the departed rest in peace.
